Bambino is an app that makes finding a reliable babysitter in your neighborhood easy.
Have you ever noticed just how hard it is to find a reliable, local babysitter?
Bambino is a mobile app that modernizes the way parents find, book, and pay trusted local sitters. The app enables parents to find sitters who are connected to them through friends and neighbors. Moreover, Bambino relies on its hyper-local nature to provide a layer of trust and comfort for caring parents.
Plus, by allowing parents to reach those otherwise unreachable sitters, Bambino gives responsible teenagers and young adults a productive way to use their spare time and contribute to their community...all while restoring flexibility back into the lives of the people who deserve it the most – parents.
So how does it work?
After downloading the free app and creating a profile, parents simply enter details for when they need a sitter, preview the available sitters, and choose the best one for the job.
Bambino also tracks the duration of the sit and, once the job is done, parents pay the sitter right through the app. Parents are no longer tasked with entering into awkward rate negotiations or searching for cash to pay the sitter.
Instead, they give their sitter a rating and can include them in their favorites for future sits. And because every sitter on Bambino is parent-recommended, each new recommendation helps the next parent who needs to find a trusted sitter.
Bambino is babysitting made easy.
Bambino was founded in June 2015 by Sean Greene, a Pacific Palisades, Calif. resident. The idea was born one evening when plans were cancelled because Greene simply couldn’t come up with a sitter.
Meanwhile, as he drove through his neighborhood he thought of the dozens of potential sitters at home on their couches who would probably rather be making money and watching his kids; but he had no way of reaching them. A year later, Bambino launched with Greene as CEO.
Since its release on June 10, 2016, Bambino has been catching on with families and sitters alike. To date Bambino has more than 35,000 registered sitters and over 40,000 parents.
To enhance the neighborhood connection, each Bambino community is launched by a Community Coordinator. Brookhaven/Buckhead was launched eight months ago by Camille Nelligan.
Then, after a successful start in Buckhead, Katie Hull began connecting parents and sitters in Kennesaw, Marietta, and Woodstock. With all of these communities thriving, Bambino is now expanding into Alpharetta, Canton, and Cumming, led by Kristina Goss as their Community Coordinator.
Celebrity mom, Gwyneth Paltrow, said this about Bambino:
“Bambino is genius! It's an app where you can find babysitters, who often live in your neighborhood and who have been recommended and vetted by trusted friends—so you’re not blindly picking from an anonymous directory of randoms. With the insane pace of life today it’s nice to know that one part of parenting just got easier.”
