The is happening, and it is pretty much what it sounds like. If you are a human between the ages of 13 and 17 and you are looking for somewhere to hang out that isn't your couch, the museum is opening its doors for an evening just for you. Think of it as a chance to escape your usual habitat and maybe even impress your friends with your profound insights into exhibit signage.

You will have access to three floors of museum goodness, including the WildWoods area and a special exhibit featuring turtles (yes, actual turtles, not just the ones that make your internet slow). There will also be a film showing in the Giant Screen Theater, which is exactly what it sounds like, a very big screen. Plus, the Fernbank educators will be around, leading some activities that are probably more entertaining than anything your actual teachers assign. It is an opportunity to explore without the usual grownup hovering.
